Requirements and prices

According to the agreement with the Alumni Foundation, the rooms are let only to students who fulfill the following requirements:

1. Tenants need to be enrolled at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich.
2. Tenants may not be older than 28 years when starting the tenancy. 
3. The following list of priorities (in descending order) applies for the assignment of rooms in the Alumni House:
   - Double Degree Incomings
   - Faculty agreements
   - Joint degree
   - University-wide agreement incl. BAES
   - SEMP (Swiss-European Mobility Programme)
   - Swiss mobility
   The past semesters have shown that the capacity of the Ius Alumni House is generally insufficient to accommodate all applicants. It is therefore strongly recommended to also consider alternative housing options, especially for students who do not belong to the first priority group.
4. Rooms are generally allocated for two semesters. The rental period covers August to July. (Single-semester rooms are only allocated if not all rooms can be rented for two semesters.)
5. Double rooms are allocated exclusively for shared occupancy. Applicants may indicate a preferred roommate when applying; otherwise, there is a risk of being assigned to share a room with an unknown person.

Please note that we cannot offer rooms to outgoing students, that is students whose home institution is, or is going to be, the University of Zurich.
